Stone Mountain & Daughter Fabrics

Confession: I love fabric!  I collect it, stacks of it, vintage and new.  And I want to share a Bay Area secret-- Stone Mountain and Daughter Fabrics.  It has been a Berkeley fixture for decades.  And it is one of the Bay Area's premiere fabric sources for fine fabrics, offering vintage reproductions, Japanese imports, silks, batiks, themes, and more.

Stone Mountain has so much fabric that it is really too much for me to be able to share it all.  So I'll share my can't miss sections.



One of my favorite sections is the immense silk room.  Stone Mountain has just so many types, shades, solids and prints of silk, and the prices are really fantastic.

And there is an extensive collection of Japanese fabrics-- the modern Kawaii, the Sakura, and the traditional.
